At first glance, I am unsure as to what makes these collages by Djuno Tomsni such well-received. They are quite bizarre are they not? However, the beauty of collages is the narrative behind each combination of artwork. Whether it is the irony of putting a couple sunbathing on the surface of the moon, to injecting a vibrant gem onto the face of a black and white portrait, it is the art of juxtaposing these different elements that defines Tomsni’s style. Perhaps, it is sometimes better to leave our critiques behind and simply enjoy how an artist creates beauty out of chaos.
