Those crazy stunts and reckless traffic patterns has been infamously popular representations of Russians to the Internet (not to mention that meteorite crashing onto Russian a few months back definitely reinforce such impressions). And Vitaly Raskalov’s work has been circulating the web very recently which again pushes the very boundaries of our power to record history visually through the art of photography.
Vitaly Raskalov and his friend Alexander Remnov call themselves skywalkers. As one can see, they capture incredible, vertigo-inducing pictures of each other on top of the highest buildings in Moscow and other cities in Russia. It is difficult to imagine the sensations these guys go through climbing up these buildings, especially with no protective equipments. All they have is their cameras, and perhaps one can argue, it is all they need, really.
